I know this is really bad because I haven't found anyone else that has asked, but I am stumped and quite frankly ready to give up on this game all together

So please, will somebody tell me the trick to the Battle of Britian Single Mission "Escort"? I have tried, not kidding, about 30 times and just keep getting "Mission Failed - took to long"
.
I am not very good at this flying stuff, but I have completed the whole "Campaign" and the Battle of Stalingrad Single Missions.
