I got my copy of IL-2 Sturmovik: FB Gold Pack
. I'm really liking FB, but I have a problem. Out of the box Forgotten Battles is version 1.0, I downloaded and installed patch/upgrade v1.0 to v1.22 and installed it. I'm also using a No-CD rts.dll file which works great!. The problem is with the sound, I tried many different settings but nothing helps.
In IL-2 Sturmovik (original) the sound was awesome!, but in FB the sounds I was accustom to hearing, aren't there anymore. Sounds like flak bursting around my plane and shells whizzing past, are no more. The engine sounds are great, but I don't hear the rockets when fired, nor do I hear bombs being released. Bullets hitting my plane are faint, if I crash next to the enemy I can hear their engines and can also hear AAA firing but the whizzing doesn't exist.
I can't see the No-CD rts.dll file being the problem, I also use a No-CD rts.dll for IL-2 Sturmovik (no it's not the same one I'm using for FB).
I'm using the latest drivers for my Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer.
Turning off 'enable extensions' doesn't fix the problem and causes static to be heard.
