Well, the good question is how did you manage to save the royal thorns and the red dragons from dying?
The dragons can survive one such blast with the proper equipment, but the thorns seem to be another matter.
As for Samman, I remember that I used the stalling tactic. I simply waited out till he's out of mana summoning demon portals. Otherwise he is very quick to dump an armageddon spell without thinking...
