You should have created your own game or looked for another. If the host ended the previous game,
all the players from it would have been on the market for a new game. Once you have synchronised with a group of players, keep looking for or making games, and you can play online pretty much non-stop. It's just the initial delay of getting in synch that puts a lot of people off. This game rewards the patient
