Game Will Not start
 

When I try to, I get the error "Cryostasis Sleep of Reason Has Stopped Working"

I have it for steam, but I know others with this problem. My PC is definately adequate to run the game.

unable to play game too. i downloaded the demo and get the same as this poster. game loads into a black screen and then the not responding window apeasr to close it.

os: vista x64
cpu: intel core i7 920
vid: nvidia evga 260 ftw - driver: 185.85
sound: creative x-fi titanium pro
ram: 6gigs of tri-channel

update:
found a fix to this issue. goto http://www.microsoft.com/directx and download the latest directx. seems this updates some files needed this game requires. even if you have vista, this may clear up the not loading issue.

I too had this issue (but I brought my copy from Direct2Drive.co.uk).

I fixed it myself by resetting the "config.cfg" file to it's default values.
I think it's part of the bugs that this game suffers from when trying to change it's Graphics Details from within the game (like you usually do).

Why on earth was this game released with these issues? Bahhh!!!
