Hurricane brakes

I have started to fly the Hurri after my PC crashed and have rebuilt CoD with MOD and am very pleased with the results. I am having problems with the Hurri and Spitfire. The brakes are set, my Saitek pedals are working but no blue writing shows up, pressing "B" or the pedals does not release so I nose over. In PCPilot article, says brake lever is on JS but I get no mouse arrow response to release brakes...just wild MG firing. Lower fitting at base of round grip does not respond. My favorite Bf 110 and Ju 87 working fine and my pedal action gives me blue % response. Nothing for Spit either. As usual, I am missing something obvious so please feel free to advise me. Thanks in advance. qwewq

Hello mate, it sounds as though you haven't assigned a button to the brakes in the controls menu. RAF planes don't have toe brakes, it's a lever on the joystick.

Go to 'options/controls', click the 'keys' tab, then in the 'category' drop down box click 'aircraft', then scroll down to 'full wheel brakes', and assign one of your joystick buttons to this function. Differential braking is achieved by using this button in conjunction with rudder.

Nice user friendly GUI, isn't it? :D

Spitfire Brakes also work!

ATAG Dutch gets another "A+"! The brakes on the Spitfire now work thanks to this post. I assigned a button on the control stick to the Wheel Brakes, (because that's where it is in the airplane) and in conjunction with the rudder pedals they work perfectly. Observe the brake pneumatic pressure gauge as the brakes are applied while moving the rudders...

The plane will even pivot if, while stopped, you apply the brakes, deflect full rudder, then add throttle. You can even see the wingtip moving aft, just like a real plane does. To remove the default toe brakes For realism, I programmed a "No Action" command to my Saitek toe brakes.

Thanks to Dutch!
