Absolutely.

Much better to imagine to sit down in your plane that's not vulnerable to technical failures, fires 30mm like a machine-gun, completely disregarding the historical vulnerability to jams, using a binocular, when leaning forward to the gunsight, while the head otherwise is strapped to the headrest. And then these unexplainable radiosilence from your wingmen and air-command, even the tower doesn't give you a take-off clearance. Even the odd rasterized view, that does not only limit your field of fiew, but also your eyes resolution is much easier to take, than those silly, completely noobish and unrealistic icons, which are only there to remind you, you're still playing a video-game!

i too prefer icons OFF, but man, that was F U N N Y falkie :D

what a gay parade...if that was funny to you, u dont have a sense of humour...btw, my post about icons was a bit metaphorical..I know that im in a f simulator but icons are just another BIG reminder and very annoying reminder that im in a sim...lets say like this, without icons the sim is more immersive..

If you'd said it's a bit more immersive without icons, I'd even agree with you, as I prefer to fly without, too. But Icons off or on is surely not the difference between MickeyMouse and Shakespear.

If you then consider that icons on WC only display at very short range and that you furthermore have the choice to switch them off on your PC, your judgement is surely none that can be taken anywhere close to serious.
