Can't patch retail version 2.00.11

I bought assault squad on Origin but for some reason I can't patch the game. My current version 2.00.11 retail. Can anyone help me out? I tried registering it on steam, but steam doesn't recognise the product code:(
Do the patches help with the terrible lag? I've got an i7 cpu and an ATI 7950 gpu. You would think it's enough for an older game like this one. Any advise would be welcome. Thx in advance.

Solution to patch problem

I have got a solution after contacting EA. For some reason this patch works

After installing this patch you will be able to use all the other patches at this site
