joystick setup
 

hi all

im new to this and have a Thrustmaster t1600 . i know how to get to the set up but dont know what or how to set things to . would relly like so help getting my joy stick set up so i can try this game/sim

Welcome to the forum!

From the main menu go to options ->controls .

At the top of the screen choose axes

you double click in the command column for the axis you want to set and a window will pop up. (be careful because if you move the mouse even slightly it will take that as the command.)
then move the joystick in the axis that you wish to set.

Aileron is the right/left motion
elevator is forward/ backward

If the joystick has a twist rudder set this up as for rudder.

Apply the settings and save your profile and it should work.

Under the keys page you can set up the fire machine guns/ drop bombs etc.

no luck . i hate this game . set up dose not have to be this dificult . im going back to rise of flight . by the way you can really own rise of flight unlike il2

Not wrong with CLoD controls, just a confuse GUI (a long and unhappy history...), see this:

Wow... The controls were not that difficult to set up.. If you bought thi ssim then you owe it to yourself to at least give it a few hours..
