It's true, but they killed Cliffs of Dover game engine for a quick buck.
They'll work from now on with the Rise of Flight engine, wich is already dated and can't do half the stuf CLOD engine can.:(

I think some members of this forum should either get their facts straight or stop spreading false rumours about stuff they do not understand. Because it has already been explained that there is little difference in the capability of the two engines, apart from the FACT that the 'Nature Engine' has been in development and USE for years now, it is trialled and tested, and STABLE.
With the kind of attitude of " wich is already dated and can't do half the stuf CLOD engine can." the release will go exactly down the path of Cliffs of Dover (Not to mention that Direct X is a multimedia API, not the be all and end all of possibilities) , trying to please everybody when the result is nobody is pleased. Get a gosh darn reality check! "Half the things that can be done in the CoD engine", either were NOT done, or were NEVER going to be afforded!
Is it that hard to understand for some people?

Apart from that, the two studios still exist individually but there has been a partnership for the NEW product (different engine, therefore not compatible with CoD, although technologies may be ported over and used IF and WHERE possible) IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle Of Stalingrad. It's expected to be sold by 777 and according to their financial system.
