"Confident" Achievement. *spoilers*

Does anyone know how to accomplish this? I am assuming it means the final battle with Eric, since it is the only one that uses "allies." I tried to engage him for hours over the course of the game, since he becomes an obvious target NPC about 60% the way of the game.

I was unable to engage him until after recruiting every single Ally race, and when engaging, I can only proceed by using my Allies, one at a time versus each of his armies. There is no way that I can engage him without my allies, or with less than all the allies there. Am I missing something in getting this achievement? It is the only one I cannot figure out how to get. I've left a Save file there just so that I can figure out how to earn this achievement.

Can anyone shed any light on the subject, because after about a week of Googling for more info, I've found no answers.

Thanks in advance, all of you. Otherwise, love the game, despite the occasional crashes. :)

Do NOT get the Demons as allies (they are optional). Do NOT get the Humans (Selby if you did the right dialogue early on).

However, if you do this, you will encounter the spellbook bug where you will lose your entire spellbook after fighting of the armies with your own army.

(game forgets to keep your old spellbook state if you engage in one of the battles yourself.).

Ah, I did not know that about the demons. Not sure if I got the humans or not honestly. Thanks very much.

A second question. On the Guilford fight, I did not use my spellbook at all and was not able to get the achievement as well. Is that a known bug?

Humans, you have a chance to miss it forever if you "hunt" Selby early on (when you first arrive on Greenwort).

Demons you can always get.

I don't remember/know. I think some of the achievements are still bugged.

Selby? Yeah, if you do the first dialogue aka the one that says "Everyone should live free!" you spare selby so you can buy items from him.

Once you get deeper into the ally quest, he will sell you more items and Iron Richard comes out to offer his aid!

Wow, your wife and you both play King's Bounty? I'm jealous! :) Do you guys play the same game and rotate or you are both playing independent games? (sorry for creepin, just curious!)

we each have separate copies and play different games. She went the Mage route and I went the Viking route, then we usually swap off and try other classes. Thought we might take a break because we just finished playing the **** out of Armored Princess right before we bought WotN, so we'll see. :)
