Need help for DGen editing.

Hi Guys. I recently downloaded that France DGen Campaign. But the aircraft they used are not historically accurate. So I have been doing some editing. But I encountered some problem about those files which their name started with ops. For example when I open file "opsBOF1", BOF stands for battle of France. But when you open it, it is full of things like
"oRuAttackSoft 00101:50509 VVS 6Y 3B LW 2F 4F"
Why there are full of "Ru" and "VVS"??? There are no Soviet forces in those campaigns. So I thought better not to touch them until I ask you professional guys first.

Thanks in advance for helping me.

From the very beginning in game there were only Russians and Germans therefore in the generator there were only Ru - VVS and De - LW. Then in game the new nations were added, and internal structure of files didn't begin to change. Now Ru - VVS is Allies (Red) and De - LW is Axis (Blue). Using this approach it is possible to correct safely the ops files *

Thanks for replying me mate. You mean all I need to do is to change "VVS is Allies" to "Red", and change "LW is Axis" to "blue".

No, anything it isn't necessary to change. VVS designates all red, and LW all blue.

Thanks mate.
Oh, by the way, one more thing. I have been playing DGen USSR fighter Campaign, and found this file called Damage.

[World]
909_BlueStatic 3 2 11215
[Planes]
12 BF_109E4B
1 U_2VS
11 BF_110C4
5 JU_87B2

23 BF_109F2
19 LAGG_3SERIES4
2 IL_4_DB3M
19 BF_109E7
2 I_16TYPE24
1 IL_2_1941Late
13 BF_109F4
1 LI_2
4 MIG_3UD
5 IL_2_1941Early
1 P_40E
3 SB_2M100A
[Carriers]
[Losses]
Squad: 4
Resupply: 0
Planes: 112 39
Crews: 64 30
Tanks: 0 0
Guns: 7 8
Cars: 11 7
Trains: 11 0
Ships: 0 0
Carriers: 0 0

What does those data represent? Is this the way how I track how many we lost? If that is the case, what's "squad: 4" here? And "Resupply: 0"?
Also, me alone have destroyed 123 enemy planes so far, but how come the number is 112???

It is the special file of the generator in which the destroyed objects in the current subcampaign are considered. It is impossible to edit it, and to take information from it too there is no sense - it dynamically changes.

If you want control of the sub parameter in a dynamic campaign why not use Lowengrins DCG its a fully comprehensive essential addon for IL2.

http://www.lowengrin.com/news.php

You can build your own campaign templates and supply routes tweak the aircraft and mission types for online and offline campaigns etc etc

There's not much you cannot mess with in there, and the forum has an active membership that knows how to tweak the program,
though its self explanatory after you have some time with it.

I have used it for over 5 years to generate squad campaigns Axis v Allied and it has produced on the Riga template map I made the most convincing front line movement,
almost historical.

To get a better understanding how DGen works read these articles.

DGen studies by Amagi; http://simhq.net/forum/ubbthreads.ph...1708223/1.html

DGen Knowledge Base articles at M4T: http://www.mission4today.com/index.p...ge_Base&cat=24

They might not answer every question but they should help quite a bit with your understanding of how DGen works.
