Sothsayers spells in Demonis?

Hi,
I'm level 40, on hard mode, and with my soothsayer I can usually finish fights up to deadly with 0 casualties.
my tactic is to start with 'Oil mist' & 'Pheonix' - and follow with appropriate spells.

But this tactic is not very good for Demonis, which is filled with fire resistance creatures... I'm still beating them - but much less efficiently.

anyone got any good soothsayer suggestion for spells combo for dealing with demons ?

Oil Mist is *more* effective vs fire resistant enemies, actually. It's a fantastic spell to use if your army deals a lot of fire damage.

You could try Phantom + Target, by the way. That works pretty well, especially if you can phantom out something decently large and hard to kill. Just use a level 2 Phantom so you can still get a second spell. Cast on a high move high init stack (Archdemon, for example, or Red Dragon) and you can get hem within range of all enemy imps, and maybe the demoness'.

Blizzard wreaks havoc on demons, as does poison cloud (those imps usually don't move for a few rounds). If you have summoning units (like royal griffins or demonologists), those summons can probably tank the rest while you kill them with ranged units.
Or you could just put many buffs on a stack and send it into the fray. Phantom, target, etc are of course powerful as always.

I'm at a very similar point (Hades, lvl40+ something, soothsayer, hard), and after getting used to fighting demons, the big stacks stopped being a problem (no losses, easy to use a sacrifice spell during battle to avoid running back to stock up on troops after a leadership increase). Large stacks of archdemons or dragons might still be annoying. Against powerful single stacks, debuff options are good (defenseless, pygmy, ...).
This reminds me that I have to use royal snakes at some points since I have 2 rings of the snake king :D (only wearing one currently, because it does not really matter).

In Armored Princess I used to do Ancient Phoenix and Dragon of Chaos. Is Dragon of Chaos still in this game? Pretty sure it did astral or some evil damage type.

The guys here are right though; poison is usually pretty good against demons.

Someone mentioned Dragon of Chaos is now a Wanderer scroll, but I've yet to encounter it.

It is, I found one. But there's a bug currently that makes the dragon persist.

stoneskin+reddragon+target=really good

but also just stuff like magical shackles on their demoness followed by ice prison or sheep on their something else... with higher magic 3 and creation 3 you can typically lock down their ranged units by turn 1-2 and all their units by turn 2-3 (sometimes on slow melee units a 7mana slow is all it takes)
