What is the purpose of this? I just beat it... and got nothing but a lot of experience. Did I just kill a quest mission for myself?

how did you get to it? there,s an ork unit in front of it that is hostile but I can't initiate combat with it.

You can use the arrows keys on you keyboard to get him to attack you, there are few areas that this trick helps out.

as for the purpose I didn’t discover yet :)
