COD Wont Close....

Hey - was wondering if anybody had any ideas about this - whenever I exit I get this error message. This is post final patch and I did a complete delete/reinstall to update the game. When I quit the game I can't re-start it or close Steam because according to Steam it's still running. Task Manager shows nothing running - I thought maybe it was a Steam issue but Fallout exits fine, just COD that hangs up - only way to exit is re-start the computer.
Any ideas....

You'd definitely do better upgrading to Windows 7 at some point too.

Hey thanx - a lot of info there to work with - yah, I've been thinking lately about upgrading to Win7 + more RAM. When I built the machine it was just coming out and I wasn't going to touch Vista. As long as IL246 is ok with it.

Thing is, WinXP only supports up to DX9 although I think there is an unofficial DX10 for it now. I don't blame you for not touching Vista, that was a bunch of crap, Windows 7 however is a great OS, In my opinion the best Windows ever.

Its Certainly worth the upgrade, I run Windows 7 ultimate x64 and IL 1946 runs great on it.

Good luck anyway, hope you solve your problem.
