elevator trim on su-26m (or any trim)?
 

Is there trim controls on the 26, or is it COD (or is it just me) ?

The trim command I normally use on all planes has no effect on the Suhoi...bug or reality ?

The photos of real 26s show either no tabs or very small tabs, probably adjustable only on the ground, so I guess there shouldn't be any trim control in the virtual one as well.

Not trying to hijack the thread, just didn't feel it necessary to make a new one.


Why is my Su-26 blue and all videos have it as red and I can't seem to add a loadout, it's just grayed out. Sorry if this is noobish of me.

There are two styles of elevator tabs on Su26Ms: The first with no cockpit adjustment and two ground adjustable tabs mid span of each elevator and the second with a ground adjustable midspan tab (as previous) on the left and a slightly narrower span, slightly longer chord cockpit adjustable tab on the inboard aft edge of the right elevator. (I've seen one aircraft with both the ground and cockpit tabs on the right elevator suggesting the cockpit tab was added later.) The aircraft is quite pitch neutral with a light elevator so trim would be less helpful than on a more stable aircraft, however, with the addition of an external fuel tank or travel pod and low power economy cruise settings the addition of the subsequently developed optional trim tab has proved popular.

The game Su26M has both left and right elevator tabs in the style of the cockpit adjustable one (inboard aft edge) but they seem to operate (don't) like the midspan ground adjustables ...

i wonder:

if it has servotabs as i suppose for an acorbatic plane with such thing i guess it will automatically fly levelled for the tabs tendency to remain parallel to stream flow

is this uneducated guess correct?

one of the screens after you choose the SU-26. has an option to change the skin.

I am not sure about your load out problem.Unless it has to do with loadouts in general not working in single player.Only in FMB or online.
