..meanwhile, in the IL-2 1946 MOD R&D labs...
|
They separate mods or part of a pack?
I've got the DBW, UP & HSFX and obviously a vanilla version installed |
the 109 3d cockpit is being developed by Freddy, the same guy who did the Sabre and P-47 cockpits (and the mustang some time ago, which I can't find anymore). They should go in Histomod, but I suppose that once they're all ready he'll release them for the other mods as well.
I particularly like the possibility of switching the gunsight reticle on and off, other than the rest of the details of course! The latest Gurner FX and general updates available on the SAS Hangar are fantastic, they just need a bit of tinkering but they're sound! |
I've got a modded up DBW version - I wonder if any of this will be compatible? Love the new 109 cockpits & variable lighting .

Well looks awesome, we need him on COD now.
Perhaps he can fix the Spit cockpit first, I mean its only being over a year  and still nothing works in it correctly compared to the 109... |
The visual effects look great. Does anyone have a link to the SAS thread for this? can't find it
It's inexplicable why the COD dev's & 1C are not opening up selected parts of COD for the talented modders to improve content & funtionality. IMO this could only serve to (1) improve flagging interest in the sim (2) release the dev's to concentrate on the game engine (3) 1C gets a better overall sim product "for free". |
I often forget just how fantastic il2 '46 can still be. I just wish they would put all the good stuff in to one pack.
