hey this is mind blowing; judging by the 2 screenshots and the summary description on http://www.videogamer.com/pc/rome_ii..._detailed.html it seems it's the eventual quantum leap that will put the series on a cinema scope level, both visually and in the options available.

2013 suddenly became a whole lot more interesting...

Ahh brilliant! I've played and loved all the total wars aside from the Shoguns. I was disapointed when I saw Shogun 2 since the gameplay and graphics looked great, but the location and time period really don't interest me. I was hoping for a new Rome, so this is perfect, and even better I guess that means we might have Medieval III to look forward to afterwards as well.

Can't wait for this though!

Just hope CA's trireme meshes are as good a quality as Clod! :grin:

Yeah, I'm excited too but that might be the problem, too many people with Great expectations! .. and of course probably no modding tools!

If they put more effort in gameplay then fancy hollywood effects that would be great.

Ditched TW series after ETW, might come back.
