Beta patch - starting the hurricane
 

Seems quite a few folks are having trouble with the hurri starting.

I am under the impression that, however, some people were able to get one airborne.

Please IF you were able to get one airborne, explain your start proceedure. And what variant it was, and whether it was online or offline.

PLEASE ONLY REPLY IF YOU WERE ABLE TO GET ONE STARTED. We know the problem exists, so no need to have 100 stories from people who cuold not get one going.

Not gonna be that cut and dry...reports are saying online hurricane 100 oct does not start, offline hurricane 100 oct does.

thanks abortedman, I've updated the OP slightly (it now asks for variant and whether or not player was online)

It was already running for me in FMB on mission start. I shut it down with the magneto and then restarted it no problem. Got airborne and then blew a head gasket:grin:

you cnaeasely start it in QMB, probably becosue the engine starts Warm. but if the engine is cold i cant. Ive tried:

Pumping the hand pump, starting on the reserve fue ltank, movign around the throttle. Its probably a big bug and not a feature. Lets hope it doesnt take 2 months to fix.

I can start the british planes without a problem on singleplayer. But in multiplayer it's not possible. Seems there is a Problem.

The Pilot notes say "operate the priming pump to prine the suction and delivery pipes. This may be judged by a sudden increase in the resistance of the plunger."

Hmmm, last time I checked the Priming pump didn't work.

Meaker couldn't start the damn crate either, I haven't tried.

Obviously testing doesn't include an online dedicated server......

I also cannot get the ROTOL to start offline, have not tried online.

I was mistaken it is really impossible to start the Hurricane any type from cold I only could do it in the quyck mission where the engine is already started and then stopped and startted again...sorry.
