Alpha PATCH v1.06.17582 with Desastersoft Helmut Wick vs. J. C. Dundas campaign

Just thought I'd jump out of the cockpit for a minute to let you guys know Im loving this campaign from Desastersoft and that everything is working just fine.

I bought and downloaded this campaign last night and tonight I havent been able to tear myself away from it!!!

Not a single CTD or error in 4hrs of continuous campaign flying with all settings turned up to maximum at 1920x1080.

The first few missions are tutorials, which even for an IL2 veteran like me, have taught me a few things about navigation that I'd never learnt before!

The Desastersoft Campaign is looking and playing great with this patch!
If the 3rd party content creators can keep up and improve on this type of campaign as CLOD matures and when the SDK comes out this game will become even more amazing!

That is all..... ;)

If I can remember to in the heat of battle and all... I'll post some screen shots and try to get some in game videos to post up! ;)

Thanks for the heads-up. I was sitting in the fence, but I think I will buy it.
BTW, No problems with the language?

Thanks

I got the english translated version which is available as a 400MB download.
There are a few grammar errors and occasional words that havent been translated but it's 99% ok! ;)

There is a good article on SimHQ that has definitely made me consider a purchase, I think I might get it after this weekend is done.

I would consider it if it wasnt for the terrible AI with constant rolling and a rollrate of 1000 degrees per second...
This added to the fact that the AI spends all the ammo in deflection shots without correcting if they missing makes any offline campaign a no go for me..:(

Have you played the LW campaign or the RAF one? I've had a constant CTD approaching Le Havre to land in LW mission 1. Mr. Voss thinks it's related to the alpha patch, and not in his software, or the beta Nvidia drivers I'm using.

@Anders - have you played it? So far, I haven't gotten any AI rolling, I think they've tweaked the AI settings to eliminate that (haven't run into any obvious Ace level enemies yet, so not 100% sure how it will play out).

No I havent tried it and if it as you say (that they tweaked the AI) then it certainly makes it alot more promising!!
