A thanks to the ATAG server and a question/request
 

I would like to thank the ATAG guys for their excellent server, it is no wonder why it's almost always the most populated one. I've been on the server previously but after quite a long while I'm frequenting the place again. It's one of the few things that keeps my interest for this game up so keep that server going! It would be nice with a European ATAG server though since my ping isn't the best (Finland is far away from NA), I get 38ms at Repka and that's a nice server and I don't get why more Euroes aren't on it whilst on ATAG I get somewhere between 140-170ms.

A question though, would it be possible to have external views ONLY when you're on the ground? For example I love checking out the damage on my plane after a sortie and stuff. I think I've seen it on other servers, once you take-off it's cockpit only, just a request though.:)

were is ATAG based, i get 100+ ping to it so i never use it

in the US i think. im from uk and its the only server i play on. i get 120-150ms ping depending how busy it is, but i have tried to play on euro servers and see no difference in the gameplay at all.

Join atag ts when on the server, made it 10 times more enjoyable for me. I likes it so much even gave em some money!

Yes, I have a ping over 100 on ATAG, makes no difference so jump in!

I think the server is in Memphis TN. I get around 32-35ms ping. :mrgreen:

Great server and it kept the game alive for many onliners.

I´m from Uruguay and never get below 200ms and have no problem.
If it´s the same as 1946 you can fly with pings up to 350 - 400 ms without problem

External view: I believe if you click on ALT F2 you will go to external view. Do this ONLY when you're done flying that aircraft because you can't return to the cockpit. This also works when you bail out so you can see yourself (the animated pilot figure) free-falling, then parachuting down. You can also pan around with TrackIR or your mouse to view the surroundings.

I have in the 30's ping on ATAG, I like that server as well...warning! think out of the box if you are blue and want to survive back to France:cool:
