Do all the "Actions" work?

I can get landing,take off,ground attack area and normal flight to work.

I can not seem to do anything with the rest.I have only tried escort,free hunt,engage bombers/fighters,ground attack target.

Attack ground target worked for me (have to set an enemy target). The rest may depend on conditions. Some say that fighters attack only if they have advantage, etc.

I tried using the set button but never got a reticle to move to a target to click on.

I used to get a reticle and a green line from waypoint to target.
