Cliffs of Dover on iMac, will it work?

My neighbour is an airline pilot and always had the bug for sims, although he's not particularly IT literate.

He has an iMac like mine (Win7 Ultimate 64bit, 3.06GHz processor, Nvidia 8800GS 512MB RAM and 4GB RAM) and already has IL-2 1946 (which I installed and set up for him), and we've been playing some good LAN sessions.

I have a PC for games and before I uninstalled it I showed him CoD and he's been asking me about it, although I doubt he could have it running decently on his iMac.

I haven't tried it on my iMac (I removed my Windows partition from it since I got the pc for gaming), but I was wondering whether it would actually run on those specs, what do you guys think?

Benchmark results of various systems for reference using The Black Death track and high settings http://translate.google.com/translat...hp%3Ft%3D68723

I think 1Gb vram is minimum for this game. Also depends if he is ready to run it in low resolution.

mmmh yeah I thought so. Maybe 1024 x768 or some similar resolution would let him play for a bit over the sea until he doesn't get a new rig?
