what FPS SHOULD i be getting?

all,

was wondering what sort of FPS people are getting with what settings - got an i7 3.4ghz cpu plus a 6990 mobo and an ssd.

with everything on high, on 2560 resolution, i get approximately 25 fps standing still on a field before take-off (cross-country quick mission).

anyone?

S!

Post your CCC settings and in game settings. There are some tweaks you can do and with the 12.1 preview drivers even CrossFire seems to be smoother and top of it can create a profile with them. Using AMD as well.

Really..2560 resolution...you playing this on an Imax screen? No wonder your only getting 25 fps, try a realistic resolution.

@Flanker35M: thanks. i'm about to install a new system, but will wait with that until the new patch comes out, and, with it, maybe some new ATI drivers. so will get back to you. however, if you do have an ATI profile you can post/tell me, that would be much appreciated (was an nvidia user and this is my first ATI, so not too familiar with this yet as didn't need to previously).

@oldschool61: well i have a 30i monitor - that is the native resolution - anything below that looks stretched and less crisp - 1920 is nevertheless still an option.

I have i7 @ 3.4 GHz, GTX570, 6GB RAM, and ssd. All settings Max and resolution 1920 x 1200 and I'm having FPS around 35. No stutters and generally smooth playability.

Try both landscape shader and landscape details setting to mid. You wont see big differences but will earn much more fps.
