Bf109-E4B Skin for Leutnant Steindl II.JG54
Holla guys, i created this skin for the Bf-109-E4B.
Its in the Colours of Leutnant Steindls 109E of the II.JG54 during 1942 on the russian Front. A huge credit must go out to Ali Fish for the use of his weathering template to help figure out the outlines of parts and panalling, was a massive help :) Enjoy :) http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...ll/Steindl.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/Steindl2.jpg Download |
Looks nice, thank you! It's good to have some eastern front skins ready when Barbarossa starts :)
It has couple of mistakes, no biggies but just to point them out if you are not aware. I think spinner has different colours and "<|" is also bit different, here's couple photos: http://www.adlerhorst-hangar.com/images/Steindl.gif http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Bf-109E/B...Steindl-02.jpg |
Very nice indeed

Ill revise the skin on the weekend and release it as V2 ;) Ive saved all the textures as individual layers so it'll be quite easy to fix :) |
beautiful skin
|
for sure cheese, ill be more than happy to do that for ya :) I wont be able to do it thou till next weekend thou now, my teachers were nice enough to give me 2 assignments that i had to complete over the weekend, on top of studying for 2 tests this week, so i wasnt able to get round to fixing the errors with it either.
Also, sorry for my ignorance, but wat u mean by HK? |
Hakenkreuz AKA Swastika.
For historical accuracy I presume :) |
Hi Helzra,
I have to add a couple of things too, to make your goodlooking skin even better.;) First get rid of that stencil from the lower cowling! (totaly unhistorical for the E type! FYI, it was used from F type on and was placed only on the port side). Considering that the plane was delivered in field with standard factory high demarcation camo scheme I doubt that the fuselage upper sides were finished only in RLM 75, even in a later state... |
Not sure on the 109's but on the RAF aircraft stencils are hardcoded so you can't remove them.
