Have custom skins been disabled in v1.05.15950?
 

Ive been flying online (on multiple servers) with a couple buddies and we have noticed lately that our custom skins are no longer visible. We've checked in the Network options to make sure the ' custom skins' button was checked. We began to think back to the last time we could all see each others skins and it seems to point back around the time v1.05.15950 went live. Am i missing something? Has anyone else noticed this? :confused:

custom skin take a long moment to be downloaded ( very very long !!! )
you can wait severals minutes to see the custom skin of your friends...

it's not optimized... and if you see your cache you'll see partially downloaded skin ( or error downloaded? )

it's sure, an optimisation for the download will be a great feature ;)

cache could store skin named with their md5 and the game should verify ( or continue the download) if we are already this skin, i think the game re-download skin

Addressing this quote, ive seen how long it normally takes to load up the custom skins. Normally at most my buddies skins will show after the 2nd re-spawn, but we've been playing hours at a time most evenings and have yet to see skins.
For whatever reason i cant see skins, ive looked in my cache folder (which has a ton of skins) and can see a few of my buddies skins which i would normally see in-game. Should i clear my cache and start over? If so how should i clear it? Should i delete the folder or delete the individual skins within the folder? Thanks, Mossman

Still trying to get skins to work. A squad mate and myself backed up and deleted our skin cache and the game doesnt seem to be loading each others skins. Now my buddy has cant even see aircraft in the game at all, including his own. He restored his old cache but still no luck. In my new cache that the game created its not loading any new skins except my own.

We've tried this plus 90% of the time im flying off of a squad mates wing. In the past our skins pop up either within seconds of spawing or shortly after take off but since the patch i have yet to see a custom skin after hours of nightly flights. Ive also seen a few other players with default skins and markings turned off, which im guessing are supposed to be custom skins.
