Well, as a kid I used to read a lot of comics, especially Marvel. Spider-Man was always my favourite hero. :)

far too many from Disney to Marvel!!

Now that you're a grown up though, I can recommend you The Watchmen and V for Vendetta, by the genius Alan Moore. You won't be disappointed: if you liked the movies you're gonna adore these!

Must be Asterix, I particularly liked Asterix and Cleopatra.

Well, I'd have to say I'm a fan of the European school of comics, thus I'd have to go with the likes of Asterix, Tintin, Disney characters comics (they were actually mainly produced in Italy!), and the like... also stuff like Garfield, Hägar the Horrible and so on... I'm not much of a fan of the super hero genre, one of the reasons being I wasn't really much exposed to it as a kid. :D

Cheers.

I know this poster off another forum who is involved in the comics industry as a freelancer (I don't know if it's as an artist or writer) but he basically trashes all modern comics, except for the Alan Moore stuff.

I don't read comics anymore, but maybe I should just pick of one of those you recommended one day.
