Don't GRIPE about the 4.09M BETA

No sense creating threads complaining or otherwise making noise about the 4.09m Beta. This is the first time as I recall in all my Il2 days over 5 years when a Beta was opened to all.

Abusing Oleg, or ragging about the BETA is not good Karma. Whining and bawling won't help...

Actually it is the second time.. but I agree with you... 4.08 was released as an open beta also if my memory serves me correctly.

We did an Open Beta when I had my own software company ONCE and never again. Why, because it turns into a grip session. People will start telling you everything that's worng with the product, and demand that everything they ever wanted be included. Unfortunately, few will actually report things that you specifically want to get from the beta. While I really like getting a chance to play with the new stuff, Oleg would have been wise not to let a beta out to everone for the first couple of rounds.

Of course Oleg doesn't have to worry so much about that. People already are constantly telling him everything that is wrong with the product and everything that they want or whim to have included (including some things that are impossible) ...and they don't stop.
