Clicking on Map or Player Plane Crashes Launcher..

... like 80% of the time. Is there anything I can do to be able to see or use the map or player plane?

My specs:
CPU: Q9950 2.8Ghz Quad
GTX570
4GB memory (only 3GB seen due to Vista 32-bit OS)
