Coup de Grace

Even after a Kamikasi attacK...you respawn with damage...what gives??? This mission is not forgiving...also the fact when you look at the map...aircraft does not maintain heading when you go live...specially near the target

welcome to the wonderful world of BoP. while it is a great flight game there are a few quirks that will spur your ire to the point of hurling your controller through the TV screen. dont do it...

It's my last mission to accomplish and do tell...I switch gaming to Call of Duty and shoot me a few...

As Bobby says thats BoP!!
Try doing it on a different mode i.e. doing it in arcade, try it in realistic. Doing it in realistic, try sim. Bizarrely certain missions are easier in certain modes for some random reason.

Well my good man...as they say, been there, done that...this is my last Gold achievement...although...I will have to probably practice more on, perhaps realistic to memorize the paths...less trial and error

In those types of mission you don't respawn, you take control over the next pilot in your flight so if the AI got damaged the plane will still be damaged when you take over control. You did know you choose which pilot you control while in the map screen?

Also in these type of missions when you are looking at the map you are not controling any aircraft, the ai is. So if you are sitting in the lead plane you will see the ai fly towards the target. If you happen to be sitting in a wingman plane you make that plane tempararily the lead plane and the other planes follow you, but if you look at the map that switches back so you will see your plane bank sharply atempting to get back in position behind the leader.

Thanks Rob...I forgot that that's what happens...and that makes perfect sense...makes me appreciate this game more, knowing that...that the developers designed it that way is very insightful and quite realistic in many ways...now I realize what's happening...now let's see, armed with this new found knowledge will bring me victory...You are the man Rob...thanks a million

Commands

Remember to giver orders to your wing.
Keep them in formation whilst you do your approach at the targets, if you get damaged or shot down, the next plane wont be to far off when you pick up the next plane.

I totally get the whole concept now...perhaps not give orders and go solo...leave them for bait...but I don't think would be a good Idea for this mission
