i bought a used ace edge off of ebay and like it very much. it very durable and i like the way the buttons are arranged. you cant go wrong with it.

Ditto that. It's great for SIM. You have a bit of a disadvantage in Realistic Online because there is a noticeable "dead zone" which makes it difficult for precision aiming.

It's a hell of a lot of fun to fly with it though.

You only have a choice of three for the Xbox, the Ace Edge as already mentioned and the others being the Saitek AV8R which is cheap and readily available but not the most durable of deisgns or the Saitek/Madcatz FLY 9 which is wireless and very well made but expensive and there have been issues with the twist rudder wiring.

Both the latter have twist action rudder control whereas the AceEdge uses a paddle lever type action mounted on the throttle unit. The Ace Edge from what I been told is the most relibale but no longer in production so only available used.

All have the same deadzone issue with BOP.

The rudder control on the Ace Edge takes a bit of getting used to but I like it now.

As a side note the Ace Edge is great for my kids. I put them in training on arcade mode and then I can set the throttle at 100% and push that whole half of the controller off to the side. Then they fly with just the stick. They do great with it.
