My Flying Legends album - Sunday 10th, 2011.
Hi everyone, haven't been around for a while, seeing as i don't have CloD and I was bloody sick of all the whining (circa May/June).
But I thought i'd pop by and share a few photo's from trip to Legends, since i know some of you like aeroplanes. The first link is the entire album, but i'll post some samples. http://www.flickr.com/photos/6368301...7627168595340/ Some photos from the album: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6137/...04749373_b.jpg Poor old 'Doll http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6021/...0cf4a6b3_b.jpg and my last picture of her, about 15 minutes before the accident. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6008/...ef25c907_b.jpg I'm in love with the new TFC P47G http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6014/...eac94e12_b.jpg Enjoy. I do, however understand the costs involved, but there must be some other way to raise funds. :( Oh well, times are tough |
Nice pix mate.. I was there too and took a couple of pix with my phone, not great quality but these are very nice..
I forgot about that SeaFury and how awesome that engine sound..That Aircraft just seemed to have endless power and the prop was huge on that thing |
I saw your photo's I think, with the iphone? They were very good, considering.
I'm glad everyone likes them, thanks for commenting. And thanks for the welcome back norseman! If we're going to talk about advertising on old planes, I have to mention Red Bull - I can definitely understand why some people don't like the logo on the side, but you must admit, they could be a lot worse. I'm just grateful that they are invested in running warbirds, and I remind myself that they could cover the entire bird in advertising if they wanted to - but they don't. I'm grateful for that, especially to Red Bull, a large corporation. In fact - i'm surprised warbird operators don't do this (cover them completely), considering the costs of running even a single seat fighter these days, that advertising money must be very tempting. We should be grateful these aeroplanes don't resemble a circa 1970 F1 car (or present day F1 car, for that matter). Don't get me wrong though, I appreciate an authentic paint scheme as much as or mroe than the bloke next to me, but if it keeps them in the sky, i'm made up, and I tip my hat to any man willing to keep em up. Besides, it doesn't really look that bad! http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6127/...f86f66f5_b.jpg |
