no Steam patch update
 

Hello everyone,
Steam has not updated COD for me yet, which I think is odd as the patch came out last friday. Do others have this problem too and what is a workaround?

I checked, the game is set to auto-update.

I am set to Steam auto update. My patch level is 14821 which I think is the newest patch so no issue here.

Basically when viewing the updates history it doesn't tehre either show any patch. It indicates that the patch released 20.5 would be the latest one.

Hmm the game indicates I'm running 1.02.14821 . But I could have sworn that I haven't seen the game update. Weird! But NP then. :D

It patches when no one is looking.Just check the version number in the lower right on the first menu screen.It is very hard to see.Dark red text on black background.

yes it seems it just did not update the history but the patch is there :)

Well, it does like Steam patches alright but like Troll2K already mentiones, it does this without telling.
I have never seen Steam giving me an anouncement that there is a update available but i have seen the update progress bar moving when it updates.
The "recent news" still refers to the update datet 18 april 2011.
I also have the option ticked for Steam to notify me when there is an update available, never received anything!!

It's not the way i expect some "cloud" software to work.
