il2- triple monitor delay
 

i also have a triple monitor setup 3xSAMSUNG 27c370 with a total resolution of 5850x1080.
when i fired up the IL2 version 4-12-2 with HFSX 7.0.3 it takes 6 min until the game gets to 100%
it didn't happen when i had a single monitor

any suggestion ?

Off: I've got a single 17" monitor. I envy you for your problem. On: Are you sure your video card can handle that resolution? Is it a problem only in Il2, or is it a generic problem?

What would have to be done to get that thing to work with IL2 where you put a helmet on your head that has a screen inside it? There is a name for it that I don't know, but it looks like it would be the way to go, much better than track IR could ever be.

the thing is :
i have 3 monitors of 1920x1080 each.
so i put in the config.ini 1920x3=5760 length by 1080 wide
in the video modes i don't get 3x1920x1080x32 as you showed in your recording, i only
get 5760x1080x32.

that's why i get the menu also on 3 displays. anyway the game still needs around 5 min to get to 100%.
please look in my config.ini ,maybe you consider any changes:

if i fill in "saveaspect =1" i get the game only on 1 display
i don't use SAN's FOV should i?

I TRIED EXACTLY WHAT YOU INSTRUCTED:
1. set in config.ini resolution 1920x3=5760 and 1080
2. set my left monitor as main.
3. fired San's fov
4. run IL2

nothings happened!!
the game won't even start

up till now i used Nvidia surround so the 3 monitor became 1 big monitor of 5760x1080 resolution.

everything is fine except i takes 4-5 min to load 100%

so what should i do?

I can only suggest you try different resolutions and settings in the conf.ini as your graphics cards and monitors might need some tweaking to get working faster.

The videos are only guides to give you some idea how others have got it running, personally I did it with Matrox "triplehead2go" set up some time ago back in v4.10

I have yet to experiment with single or multiple graphics cards HDMI Crossfire or SLI setups.

I'm not sure of your exact configuration or hardware but its not a straight forwards process, but make sure the resolution is supported 100%

My IL2 used to boot normally with THT2G.
