You actually need the Spitfire Mk.I manual (A.P. 1565A, to be precise). I am asking aviation book collectors via the newsgroups if a PDF copy is available; so far, I've had no joy. I'll keep searching.

The Mk.II version manual is A.P. 1565B.

You should have done it via "Let me google that for you", that'd have been more stylish

Yup, that could have been really cool, if he was actually talking about the manual we really need.......

Your kindness is underwhelming. :) What we were hoping for was someone to be kind enough to PDF a collectors edition manual. I'm sure someone will in time. I certainly would if I had bought the collectors edition, but I went download.

@ Capt Backasswards

The problem is that the Collector's manual is apparently missing pages and is also inaccurate, having used some details from the Mk.II manual (A.P. 1565B) that didn't apply to the Mk.I.

The absolute sticklers for realism are looking for the Mk.I manual. There is a copy at a museum in Kew and one of the members on here has said they will go along there to possibly get a copy of it. There are also pay sites that claim to have a copy of A.P. 1565A, so you could always pay $15 or so for it.

Thanks! Just trying to enjoy the entire botched UBI experience  I don't have any doubt that in the next 3 to 6 months the guys at 1C Maddox will have this thing Rockin'. I've been in the mission maker the last several days making a mission and the NEW depth in this sim is awesome!
