about monitors and ghosting

hi all,
about your monitors: does anyone think their gtg response time is too slow (8ms or so). Is a 2ms monitor really needed for CoD? How does a 5ms monitor perform with CoD? At issue is the perception of ghosting.

I thought ghosting was uncommon nowadays..

.. I held off dropping my CRT and had been using one until last year. I currently use a dell wfp 30inch. I have no ghosting or issues what so ever.
