How do you eject from your plane?

Stupid question, but I have tried to eject from plane but cant manage, I have open the Hat, hitting my botton for eject nothing happend, any one

And are there any zoom function in this game like it was in IL2????

From pilots seat, open canopy (shift+O), then eject command (ctrl+E)

there are two ways to zoom in, (shift+F1) to loosen straps and get closer to gunsight, and (Delete) key to zoom the view.

Open canopy on the ME109 usually proves fatal (you loose all control while the canopy opens and it takes ages), you must jettison the canopy instead Control+J and then Control+E to eject.

Yep thx, had to jettison, not open the hat the hit eject botton the the man jumped ;)

Is there any min/max hight speed for ejecting?

And thx for the Zoom also , it worked ;)

Well I dunno what I am doing wrong here cos I cannot do anything with the canopy. Open, Close, Jetison, Jump out, wash it, polish it or anything else.
I have tried from inside and outside the plane but still nothing.

Any thoughts?

ah... done it.
I mapped the keys about 5 times but it suddenly started working. I am sure the keys are iffy still.

i remember back than when i was 16 i made a PPL-C (sailingplanes). And they told me if you have to eject you have to be over 200 m (could be less or more didnt rember exactly) and not be faster than 120 km/h (which is already pretty fast for a sailing plane)

so i guess almost the same altidude/speed rules does it for WW2 birds (really just a guess)

there are optimum limits, but I guess you make your decision based on whether you want to die burning or going 'splat'

I tried it each time i started the same mission and it kept failing and then all of a sudden... it worked. :)
