4 Attachment(s)
  • Map files for CH Products HOTAS inclusive of the CH FighterStick, CH ProTrottle, & CH ProPedals.
  • Easy to setup IL-2 1946 controls configuration checklist.
  • Three Modes map file, Fighter/Ground Attack mode, Bomber mode, and Carrier mode.
  • Analog brake axis on left and/or right toe brakes.
  • Two speed analog prop pitch control axis using the Pro-Throttle hat switches.
  • New! Two speed analog mixture control axis using Pro-Throttle hat switches
  • Intuitive placement of functions, grouped by systems.
  • Detailed pdf file with knee-pad prints.
This version combines 3 modes into one .map file. The three mode are Fighter/Ground Attack mode, Bomber mode and Carrier mode.

Mode 1, Fighter & Ground Attack mode. This mode is themed for a generic mixture of single and twin engine fighters and ground attack aircraft (not the Ju-87 / Ju- 88, see bomber mode). This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. K-14 Gunsight controls are mapped to the FighterStick “Hat 2” switch. The X-4 Rocket control is mapped to the Pro-Throttle micro stick (see notes).

Mode 2, Bomber mode. This mode is themed for aircraft with bomb-sights, such as multiple engine bombers (up to eight engines) and including the Ju-87 / Ju-88 “Stuvi” dive bomb sights. This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. Bombsight controls are on the FighterStick Hat 1 (basic & Stuvi) and Hat 2 (advanced).

Mode 3, Carrier mode. This mode is themed for carrier based aircraft. This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. This map file incorporates functions specific to carrier operations in IL-2 1946.

What's New in this Version;
  1. Moved Cockpit View, Toggle Speed Bar, External View, Flyby View, Pilot or Gunner, and Time Skip functions to FighterStick POV switch.
  2. Added Accelerate Time and Decelerate Time to the FighterStick POV switch.
  3. Moved Level Stabilizer to Hat 2 up switch in mode 2 (bomber mode).
  4. Moved mode 2 (bomber mode) Tinted Recticle Dimmer to FighterStick hat 2.
  5. Moved Arrestor Hook to FighterStick hat 2.
  6. New! Added engine radiator/cowling analog axis control, on FighterStick throttle axis wheel.
  7. Added Open/Close bomb bay door to FighterStick hat 3.
  8. Added Jettison Drop Tank mode 2 (bomber mode) to FighterStick hat 1 (all modes same now).
  9. Added X-4 Rocket control to the Pro-Throttle micro stick.
  10. Added Toggle Recticle Brightness to the Pro-Throttle button 1 in shifted state.
  11. Increase the delay to prop pitch control axis faster movement by a few milliseconds.
  12. Added Select Left Engine(s) and Select Right Engine(s) to Pro-Throttle Hat 1 in mode 2 (bomber mode).
  13. New! Pro-Throttle Hat 2 Up switch in mode 1 (fighter/ground attack aircraft mode) will select alternating between engines one and two, and in shifted state, will select engines 2 and 3 This is for the quick selection of the BI-6 wing-tip ramjet engines.
  14. New! Also, the Pro-Throttle Hat 2 Up switch in mode 2 (bomber mode) will select alternating between engines 1, 2, 3, and 4, and in shifted state will select between engines 5, 6, 7 and 8. Thus giving quick selection of any individual engine up to eight.
  15. But wait, there's more, the Pro-Throttle Hat 2 Down switch will select all engines, and in the shifted state will deselect all engines.
  16. New! And now the best for last, analog axis mixture control. The Pro-Throttle hat 3 up / down switch now emulates an analog axis. This is a 2 speed axis, after holding for approx 2 seconds and more the mixture control will move at a faster rate.

Thanks KG26,

Writing these CH map files takes many hours in them self. This just barely gives me a glimpse of the amount of work and hours the Daidalos Team has to put in for their patches. This is the 3rd generation, of these CH map files and I can conservatively guess it has taken in the hundreds of man hours to get them to this point, and this is a very simple program relatively speaking.

Conception, of what your desired file should do,
Research in how to accomplish your desired results,
Writing the actual files, using scripting and GUI tools,
Testing your results,
Revising your conception, and revising your file again and again.
Testing again for mistakes and squashing bugs several times over.
Creating documentation so others will know what your file does, and how to use it.
Packaging your file for distribution.
