Hi

That's weird, I'm running IL-2 1946 at 1600x900:)

I think he meant before doing any tweaking in the config

Maximum resolution was unlimited.

Just the side-relation was not. You could run any 4:3 resolution AFAIK.

Well, at least 1600x1200 worked with standard resolutions.

didn't know that it could go more than 1024x768 because in setup it would only go to that and no more.
so will cod go much higher as standard or will it be the same as il2 and u have to mess with config.

Btw thanks for the replys

I don't remember being restricted to 1024x768 in Il2 but it's been a few years. Later versions definitely offered higher 4:3 resolutions by default in the setup.

Anyway, I see no reason why CoD would have any resolution or aspect ratio restrictions. High-res widescreens which were still a luxury (or simply nonexistant) 10 years ago are now standard. And we've seen many in-game screenshots in 1920x1080.

I can't imagine cliffs of dover having a standard resolution of 1024 and not being able to change it in the settings. It should support all current monitor resolutions with no issues, it only makes sense considering its a current game.

dunno about the highest but I hope the lowest is 800x600 so my laptop can run it ;)

We've already seen screenshots in aspect ratios other than 4:3.

i've just talked the wife into letting me get a 46 inch Sony led and native res is 1920x1080 so didn't want an Epic fail when i show her the difference.
but i think your right should not be a problem.

thanks again for the reassurance
