Curious about aspect ratio...

....I'm sure there's an option for 16 x 9 monitors for CoD. Are there any pictures detailing how that aspect ratio will/would look? It suddenly struck me a odd that we haven't seen any 16 x 9s yet.

Just askin'.

Try some of these: http://www.gameway.com.ua/screenshot...reenshots.html

Nothing extraordinary about different aspect ratios, I don't expect a major difference to Il2 (maybe higher max. FOV).

Thanks Kraken. Funny enough, I'm still on a 4:3 CRT monitor, but will be buying a new monitor soon. It's time "dontcha" think? For some reason I was expecting a big difference in cockpit view.

But I did find it strange not to see any up until you posted the link.

LOL engarde. I could have put that little detail in the title heading, huh?

EDIT: I must be extremely tired. (I should be it's almost 5 am). After looking at a few of those pictures I went to my cache of CoD update pictures. They're in 16 x 9. WTF am I on?

Forget in guys. Thanks Kraken.

Hopefully slithers away unnoticed. Where's that red faced smiley?

I know what you mean; held on to my trusty Sony CRT as long as possible, until the image started to get blurry. At least flatscreens are finally good enough to provide similar image quality (the better ones). The widescreen aspect itself is nice but not a revelation - although I'd love to try out one of those 30" screens ;)
