Xbox And PS3 Handle Differently
 

I got sick of playing Halo yesterday so put the 360 version of BoP in for a quick blast. I played an Arcade DF in a Spit Mk2 and noticed the handling of it was slightly heavier than on PS3. My control settings were max but there was a definite difference. I didn't think the Spit handling was changed by the patch but can anyone correct me?
I actually enjoyed this heavier handling as it prolonged the dogfight and made getting a kill slightly more challenging.

Whats your gamer tag on Xbox so I can add you to my friends list? Great to have a regular forum member with both platforms to highlight the differences (player skill levels included). I don't play Arcade but will join you in a match just to have a chat. The planes do seem heavier some nights (there was thread about this not so long ago!) - a lot of us on Xbox think that it may be some sort of micro lag issue due to its random nature.

There may be differences in the hardware processors that affect the way the game plays/feels or it may well be that the PS3 did have some changes with the patch. Your just going to have to play more sessions on Xbox to be sure....:grin:

My xbox Id is dkwookies. I normally flick between arcade and realistic so either you fancy on there. I can play sim but it hurts my eyes too much!

I don't recall any difference with Spit handling on PS3 after the patch so it must be a system thing. It's not hugely different but the flight model seems more solid in arcade. Probably 10% closer to realistic than on PS3. I think it's cool for owners who have both systems as it adds something different apart from the controller

Great Dwookie! Pretty sure a lot of the Xbox/forum regulars (RoboticPope, Hurricane, SgtMadmaxFury, etc) will join in Arcade/Realistic matches (we tend to be mainly Sim). The xbox forum regs usually go on line about 9-40pm GMT each night to coincide with the other BOP regs on the wrong side of the pond.
