Is this release date for SoW: Battle of Britain correct?

April 30, 2010. At least that is what the website below says about the release of Storm of War: Battle of Britain. It even has the option to pre-order the game already :S

"It even has the option to pre-order the game already..." We yes, they like people to send them money, so they can collect interest on it. Websites have been doing this for years. (can anyone find a posting referring to the earliest one?).

To answer your question, I'd say 'highly unlikely' given what Oleg Maddox has said, and what we've seen regarding it's current state of development. The optimists around here are suggesting August, but anyone who actually knows (If anyone does) isn't telling yet.

The game has been on pre-order from several sites since 2006. The release date is totally fabricated. I'd wait.

it has been awhile, but as I recall Oleg never told us when. There are so many people that will have knowledge of SOW when it goes Gold... it will be all over the net.

Too many people are too anxious for this one. Also, Oleg has been pretty generous sharing information for the past few months. I'd say we're looking at this year for sure.

I think it's cool Oleg isn't sharing much more than he is. I've never been disappointed with any release except PE-2, which had the spyware thingy in it.

Oleg made it right for everyone with IL2 1946. A darned awesome way to wrap up a great series, and then he decided to let TD take a shot at IL2.

We are going to have one kick tail new Air Combat Flight sim WW2 genre.

I wouldn't rely on anything about release dates you read about on the web.

S!

I would believe on anniversary of Battle Of Britain, around this date. A perfect timing and a sim that will blow competition out of the water. And best release date is "When ready." :)

I prefer the 10th of July as the day that Battle of Britain begun.

Sounds good to me.

I don't really care if release date shares some historical moment.

I doubt that bugs and business do either. It will be released when it's ready, not when the bell rings.

@ edal86:
When a release-date will be announced, it will probably happen here first. So as long as you don't see a sticky with a release-date, doubt any date given by 3rd hand.

Rumours, rumours, rumours....
If one doesn't know anything, one should be quiet.
As long as not even the distributor is known the only people with knowledge are the members of developing team.
And as it was said many times: better a finished product later than a public beta now!
