Serious system hangs in the menus
 

I run the game off the DVD as usual.

1) In some of the menus, and during loading and saving there are temporarly hangs, and the music skips (as a dirty CD would do), but it recovers after some seconds.
2) In the save-menu after landing in the first realistic tutorial I get a permanent system hang (music skipping). Left it on for a while but it still hangs and must be booted.

-The DVD seems perfect and clean, and I have never had this problem with any other game.
-Please, any clues or tips on what to do ?
-I heard someone talk about copying the game to HD. How is this done ?

XBOX or PS3? If you're on XBOX, you can install the game by pressing Y when you have it selected in the My XBOX menu (i.e. one up after booting, the big game image you see to start it up, next to your profile thingy). I believe it should say install to hard drive or something. But, it's been a while since I've installed anything, correct me if I'm wrong.

Funny you should post this because I have just recently run into this as well. There seems to be a .5 second freeze during some missions which I don't have a problem with but now I am getting music and fram skips in menus post game. It's getting a little annoying. I wonder if any of this will be solved in the update?

A few Xbox guys have been posting a similar issue with Operation Flashpoint, and the suggestion of installing to hard drive seems to be working for them.

IMO that's pretty bad, because an XBox isn't guaranteed to have a hard drive, so in that case you'd have an unusable game. Although it has to be some sort of hardware fault rather than a software problem. WP Microsoft...not.
