Has anyone even been harmed by it??? Every ww2 game FLANK fire has been no Bother to me, Im talkin about the wee black cloud

I haven't been hurt by FLAK yet. Of course, I've only played the demo and only had a light pepering of flak in the second mission.

I think if you dawddle in your tub the flank fire might prang your cratey...I think it did on tiger hunt once....maybe

The flak batteries arn't the most accurate in the game but I have been hit once or twice. Last night flying the P51D in external view I got clipped on the left wing and the musting banked sharply. Pretty sure the flak caused it but it may have been the twitchy flight model

i am yet to be struck by flak.

Personally i think its just a decoration

I asked this question to Anton and his reply was "It is a major part of campaign" and could hurt you but I have not been hurt by it either.

Not in Arcade mode, but I have been shot down by AAA (or FLAK if you prefer the german term) ONCE. It was on realistic setting in one of the Korsun-Cherkassy missions. Direct hit - WHAM! Blew me and my plane to pieces...

I had my entire right wing blown off last night in one of the Sicily missions. Needless to say, I was very suprised. It was cool though.

First time I played it in the demo on simulator, I was hit by flak and it killed by engine only a couple hundred meters above the ground, so I died.

BTW, I changed the thread title to "FLAK", which is the correct term.

I was on Training and Had the german H11 i Flew over the Flak gunners As slow as i could. Not one done any damage, It was on realistic.

Its like this is every WW2 game ive played :(

It always lands right under me, so it's like a narrow escape. Never been hit for real though!

As for all WWII games, bf1943 has deadly Flack fire, but maybe that's because the players can control it?

been hit several times and died only two times by flak..

I've been hit by flak in the demo. I was flying over some flak guns, and BAM my wing gets torn completely off!! Awsome :cool:

I've received minor damage. The thing to remember is that FLAK was never that accurate, especially against a maneuvering fighter, so don't think it's any less realistic if you don't get hit.

Even tho i had the 2nd biggest bomber & was flying low and slow :(

Maybe the Flak gunners were just having an off day?:rolleyes:
