Forum games tonight from 8pm UK time on X360
 

Tonight I will host some MP games from 8pm UK time. I will host all 4 game modes, on all the maps in rotation using realistic or sim modes. Hopefully we might get some of the MP unlocks. Anyone interested leave your GT here and I will send you a FR and game invites from about 7.30pm onwards.

If you're playing during weekends too, count me in. XB360 GT H Lecter, same as my forum nick. I'd love to find an online match (especially sim mode) even if I get killed repeatedly.

I think I may have missed you today, but you can send me an FR anyway, just incase you ever need another player (that goes for all of you btw) I generally play on realistic but I don't mind Sim mode either.

just been playing Capture Airfield on realistic with some of you, and some strangers... good game although someone thought i was crashing deliberately, I wasnt, my plane was shot to f@#k, i had no control at all...

this leads me to believe that the "problem" of ppl crashing to stop ppl getting kills is overstated.

The problem is not that people are crashing deliberately but that they are crashing as a result from the holes you put into them and still you don't get the kill.

Was on myself last night for hour or so, sadly missed you lot.

Will get some FR out tonight and hopefuly meet up for some combat.

I too have crashed a few times after dangerous encounters with bullets!

Had some good games with you forum dudes last night. I decided to take a break from goat turning me into gracefully falling wreckage and went and played some SP later on but I'll be back on tonight for some more sim games.

In fact as you might know for now most people play in arcade mode and in this mode holes in the wings don't affect anything.

So the problem was people crashing on the ground deliberately, or trying crazy moves as they know there is no risk of losing points.

But notice if you damage the plane enough, you will get the point even if the planes is deliberately crashed. This is why sometimes the collision between two planes grants a point to one player.

Having to take off alone should make people think twice before crashing on purpose !

You got a point there. But I would recommend to anyone who is serious about multiplayer to play at least on realistic mode. - I think that this way you can avoid most of the immature players who don't want you to have a kill.

I was on last night and sent out a FR to most of you posting in this topic. Forgot to metion that my GT is daveelmo if anyone was wondering who it was who sent FR.

That said i couldnt find any games to join at all and gave up and played SP instead.

Yes, it's really hard to find realistic games.
And I wont play in Sim until there is at least locked cockpit view.

Anton, if you read this, will it ever be possible to freely join started games as it was possible in previous IL-2 ?

I will go through this thread sending out FR's to anybody not in my list yet and sending out game invites from about 8pm.

I will mostly host Strike missions as they are really good fun, but will play all the modes over the course of the evening and I am open to requests for certain modes and maps.

Last night there were lots of players about, so if you've not really had a good chance to play online yet it should be good.

Oh and I host on realistic mostly, I will host sim if enough people want it but I won't host any arcade games, I don't like that mode.

Edit, OK I have sent out FR's to everyone in this thread, the only person I left out was the guy from the US west coast because of time difference and potential latency issues sorry. Anyone on my friends list playing IL2 will be sent game invites tonight.

Right I forgot most European countries were playing WC qualifiers last night, so there were not many UK gamers online.

Same tonight though, send me a friend request if you want a game and then join the party, we send out invites before every game We have a decent group of people all flying and we chat as we play and everyone is just playing for fun and having a good time.
