Nice thanks. I love how the first vid you can hear the plane screaming through air as it starts to dive down.

And the freaking oil hitting the canopy that is so freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the cockpit view showing your head bobbing up and down this game is going to rock.

About multiplayer:

"Up to 16 players can compete in four modes including dogfight, team battle, capture airfields, and strike and the player setting up the match can select any of the three difficulty settings. Other options for match tweaking include limiting the aircraft that can be selected by year, meaning you can set it so only planes available up to 1940 are available or all the way through 1945. The setting, from Dover to the coast of Sicily to Stalingrad, can be selected along with time of day, weather patterns, and whether or not you want fuel and ammo to be limited."

I love the era settings, how cool is that?

Anton, the drinks are on me. I'm beyond pumped right now.

Man, how scary are spinouts in Sim mode, holy shit. Surround sound, in HD, head bobbing, engine screaming - fear of god city WOOO!

The cockpits are a sight to behold; the lighting effects are awesome, even the gunsights look super pretty.

I WANT TO PLAY YOU.

This game is going to kick my ass hahah

Sold.

Biggs 07-21-2009 08:59 PM

is it me or did it look like its way too easy to stall in "sim" mode... not to mention in a Spitfire of all planes.

the guy could barely turn the plane without it highspeed stalling all over the place.

Damage model is amazing tho

The guy simply doesn't know how to fly real plane.
Not an excellent idea do those things with your plane on a low speed.

Exactly. As Brendan O'Brian said to his pupil as he wrenched the joystick about in his Tiger Moth 'Make love to the aeroplane, don't f**k it !' ;)

incidentally anton - whats does BMB stand for below the airspeed and altitude values ?

maybe they added a high number for the sake of gameplay and correspondence. I guess the missions are the same for Arcade, Realistic and Simulator. and if that mission is to bomb five targets it would suck if you only had two bombs :-)

The sim vid looked like it was from one of the tutorial missions, so, maybe that's why there were 32 bombs.

This game looks incredibly legit.

Its going to suck if have 32, thats for sure ! I could maybe understand 32 bombs in arcade mode, but realistic / simulator ? thats not good..

Jimatay 07-21-2009 10:36 PM

The game is looking GREAT but one issue is still bugging me....

Radio chatter, we can hear the Germans over the radio (even in realistic mode). Anton, is this chatter only during tutorial mode?
Also I noticed some American accents during the battle of britain. Does this campaign follow Eagle Squadron then?

Desode 07-21-2009 10:37 PM

Those vids were great ! I can't wait to get my hands on this demo !
WOW ! DESODE

it doesnt matter

the game is not designed to be a 100% true simulator

where you have to take off with one bomb , drop it , return to the air feild (20-30 mins) and take off again

they need to make it accessable for everyone

We are going to have chatter in the game. Or it is too silent.
I know, it's not realistic.

In US build - there are American accents.
In European - UK accents.

In Campaign mode (instead of Single missions, Training, and MP) - we have the same amount of bombs carrying by planes for all realism modes.

Otherwise we'd had to make all Campaign three times, which is, of course, impossible.

You can simply drop all bombs you don't need to ocean. :)

Anton Yudintsev 07-21-2009 11:00 PM

Actually, the whole Campaign, as I've already told many times, is more casual and entertaining, than real life. If you want taste real missions (much closer to what PC version had) - try Single Missions, not Campaign. They are more challenging, but can be a bit boring - you can probably fly 10 minutes without seeing enemies, etc.

Anton Yudintsev is God.
