Changelog:

- Intro movies disabled (ignoring options set-up).

- "Favorites" tab added to the Book of Magic. [thanks to tav and Айвен]
tab has been added to the game since patch 1.6, mod just enables it.
The 12 spells, most often used by player, are put on the tab
they are sorted on the tab according to the spell levels
selection of the spell counts as use of it, not the actual cast (for example, if player used Resurrection, to check, if any stack needs it)
Alt + left mouse buttons in combat removes the spell from the tab.

I created the /mods folder & put that in the data folder. Then I put the 16b7 file in the mods folder. For some reason my game won't even start. It never loads up. It acts like it is loading then all of a sudden it just stops. Anyone know what the problem could be? I REALLY want this mod.

And yes I have the correct version. I verified it in-game that it is 16b7.

I downloaded from Atari website. Would that have anything to do with it?

Delete the 16b7 folder and put the .kfs file directly to the /mods.

Amamake - There is no 16b7 folder. I was referencing the file, so everyone knows which version I was using.

Spamm - My game says 16b7. Inside the actual game I mean. I have tried the 164 also though just to be sure.

This sux, b/c I really want to use this mod. Seems useful to me. Anyone got any ideas?

Just return the 16b7 exe file into its original place in main game folder. The /Data/Mods folder must only contain *.kfs files from unzipped downloaded mod, as bman654 wrote.

Tempo/Bman - Yes the only file in the mods folder is the .kfs file. I've never moved the exe. As soon as I delete the mods file it loads up properly.

Also is there any way for me to update to 1.64 or am I stuck at 1.6b7.

Spamm - Thanks for trying, but it does the same thing. It's so weird. I'm a very computer LITERATE person. I've dealt with em all my life. For the life of me I can't figure this out. I'm doing EXACTLY what it says to do. I guess I'll just have to wait to update to 1.64. Hopefully I can DL it soon.

JGary, other thing you can do is to open the .kfs file with winrar or winzip or whatever and start removing files from the archive until it works. Maybe through trial and error you can find the set of files causing the problem. I think earlier spamm asked what resolution you were running...that might be making a difference. Also try running in window mode (edit game.ini) and maybe you will get a real error message that might shed some light.

I am running 1600 x 1200. Also tried changing it, just to see if that helped. It did not. I'm gonna try to go in the mod & take some stuff out. I'll report back if that helps.

Ok, so good news. I started deleting files one by one. I deleted config.txt & now it works. The only thing that I can tell is missing is the info that displays future skill levels. Spellbook/favorites works & everything else. You know what may have caused it? It's very strange.

On another note, to make it show the units killed instead of the damage I know I have to edit

setf ~showflyingdead 1

in the game.ini file. That line was never in the file. So I added it, but nothing happens. Anyone have any idea on this? Seems like my game is just screwed up lol.

The new file works for me now. The skill one still isn't working though. Not that big of a deal. I love all the other tweaks though. I even tried creating a new game, but that didnt work.

Are there actually any other MODs than these four?
I looked all over 1c homepage - but under KB the legend is only demo for download.
Where are the MOD's uploaded when done/ready? (some fan site? ) Or I have to dig em out from forums only?

For english, they are in this forum and yes that's it for now (that I know of). If you have Russian version or feel like experimenting you can visit spamm's links in his sig for lots of other mods. I hear some of them work with the English version.

I'm almost done with a new battle camera mod. Hopefully I'll upload it today sometime.

FWIW, I applied the 1.6.5 patch available at GamersGate and looked through the .kfs files and checked the timestamps on the files inside. It does not appear any of the files used in this mod were modified and the mod still appears to work in-game. Hopefully Atari will get out their 1.6.5 patch soon though I wouldn't hold my breath since they couldn't even manage to release the up-to-date 1.6.4 version when the game launched.

GamersGate has got to be one of the best download services around when it comes to speedy patch delivery.

It semi works for me. I do not see what talent runes I will get on next level ups(Which is a good thing really.. it somewhat ruins it), nor do I see the future skill upgrades.

I installed the mod on the 1.6.5 patched version from GamersGate and it appears to work fine. Very nice additions to the interface, I only wish I had it earlier.

The mod seems a big buggy to me. I'm using the atari version with the russian 1.6.4 patch and the 1.6.4 version of the mod. In some cases (the animal trainer for example) the options you have to pick (dialog) are crossed with the text. I.e, if you select look at animal - the other option is executed...

Hum... Does this only happen with me ?

That happens with me. I dont think that is a bug. Just misinterpretting the options. "Just looking at the animals" kinda means "I don't want anything, I was just looking at your caged animals". The other option means you want to look at what he has for sale.

Assuming that the new 1.6.5 Atari patch is the same as the 1.6.5 patch that's been available on GamersGate for several weeks, the current mod should work. At least it did for me with the GamersGate version.

Just wondering my first game when I installed the interface mode I had the health bar of monsters on the screen all the time and in my new game I need to use ctrl or to have it on screen. In the same register I now need to use shift to see monsters stats instead of attack them.
Any idea to how to change that please?

First off, thanks for putting this mod together. I just picked up King's bounty the legend from Impulse, and it says it is version 1.7 on the main menu. When I downloaded the 1.7 mod, everything works, except the show critical chance. When ever I scroll over strength for my hero or a character it will crash to the desktop. I found the .lua file that calculates the critical chance, but I'm not sure what is causing the problem. do you have any ideas?

I've tried the other version for 1.65 as well just to make sure it wasn't the 1.7 mod. Has anyone else got this working with the critical chance showing up?

One place i found interface mod (and others) available is:

The files with eng in the name are for english version obviously.

Im confused by all these versions, do these work with the english Steam version?
