Actually, it is very much alive. But not in a releasable condition.

There was a time where I actually complained about so many patches going out so fast.
It destroyed all the long campaigns by changing balance in between airplanes. Now I thing we must be happy that there are almost one update each year. It gives us time to begin and end campaigns without major changes.

Yeah but you can't use Call of Duty 4 because that won't run on Windows 7. Sucks.
