Cool.. Please, if you could report if the exe file installs it to the mod or the stock version. Or what version you use it with and if it works or not, and thanks ...if you do :).

Installed it this morning. Took about 5 minutes. The installer lets you choose where to install it so that was no problem. I am using TF mod and it works good. It replaces the LW campaign that is in the main menu which I dont mind because that was weird (one minute you fly 109, next mission stuka)

Have just played first mission and first impressions...(spoiler warn)

- cool airfield activity as usual for this REDUx campaigns.
- taking off I had a wow moment when I looked out and saw invasion fleet sailing
- good to have tf mod reflections because while i was sightseeing I saw reflection of Blenheim coming in!
- got into dogfight over calais, bad suprise just when I though fight was over I got boumced and killed

Good start!

As planespotter says it will install and run in TF fine.
The only potential problem is with the way the 'scores' are kept- these are kept in a file written to a file in the NON MOD folder in mydocs,
This is 'hardwired' into the scripting.
If you only have 1 install this will work fine regardless of being modded or not, however if you have separate installs, 1 modded and 1 not, and you attempt to run the campaign in both they will both write/read the scores from the same file and will therefore the scores will get out of sync with what you have actually achieved in each version.
Other than that no other problems have been noticed during testing.

Thanks guys

But so I guess if you are only running 1 campaign at a time is no problem right, because each every time you start a new campaign it resets?

Correct, the scores are reset to zero on starting in the first missions script, every other mission adds any score(s) to this on completion of mission sucessfully.

Thanks you. So as long as I only have one install or one campaign at a time it is fine. I think from now I will only have the TF mod anyway because I get maybe 5 extra fps and less stutters.

pS now I have made it to mission 3. Mission 2 it was good i got a bunch of ground kills! But the flak at Dover is tough, I am not flying straight over there again! Mission 3 flying wingman I am trying to keep my CO alive but he keeps getting me killed :)

May be a silly question.. but where do I direct it to install exactly?

Tried
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\mission\campaign\campaign_de
and after not seeing it, I tried..
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\campaign_de
And tried...
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\mission\campaign

I see the two original campaigns when I open up the campaign section in game.

No the campaigns are not in the users folder you have to go to c:/steam)steamapps)common)il2sturmovikcod)parts)bob)c ampaign) or something like that i think it is in the readme

Only single missions and user made missions are in the users folder

Lesson learned thanks..
(somewhere I had read that ALL user downloaded content goes into documents...woops)

Omg this is too real...well done guys!

Mission is a long strike from Hawkinge to Tangmere. 30 min flight, flak, enemy aircraft sighted but I stick to briefing...remember the primary target! Hit Tangmere! Get to target, overfly a busy seaplane base...stay on mission! It isn't easy with so much temptations in the way. Hit Tangmere, lose a wingtip to flak. Damn! Fighters around me. Got to bug out and try to get home. Try to fool the mission designer and fly direct north and then East back to Hawkinge...he can't put enemy fighters all over England, right? Wrong! Cruising past Croydon down to coast thinking I am nearly there, concentrting on stopping my machine from rolling, trim trim, what?? RAF Bombers above! And where there are bombers...no! Hurricanes!! They hit me from all sides and I am deadmeat.

Phew, what a ride! Thanks! Maybe next time I fly to France and then over again!! ;)

planespotter 05-06-2013 11:06 AM

And now with a team fus mod version thanksyou!

Can I just install it on top of the other one?

bolox 05-06-2013 11:20 AM

From Heinkill

Quote:

If you are using the TF mod and you install this on top if the stock REDUX campaign you will be able to just continue your campaign from where you were up to.

To check that you have successfully updated to the TF Mod version, you will see 'TF MOD' in yellow letters in the lower right corner of the campaign poster screen.

planespotter 05-08-2013 11:55 AM

Thanks yes that works good. I have fought hard to get alive to the 18 mission I did not want to start again and now I get to fly for Erprobungsgruppe210!
