Demo Question
 

Alright we know theres one coming, but as for anything else its pure speculation. So i was wondering if the admins here could shed some light on questions like, how long will it be, will it be the one given out to media for preview, and most importantly WHEN will it be out? Even if only some details can be revealed, i, and most likely quite a few other people, would be very happy.

Some answers to this would be appreciated :)

In case you felt like using a word you had no clue what it means, which seems to be the case, heres a little help.;)

... the game is quite real and out in Russia for a couple of months. They never promised that English version was supposed to be out in 2005 or whatever, but when it's done (in Autumn). A game that is still in development is not vaporware, particularly one that's already finished, released, sold and reviewed and only requires localization for the international market.

FYI: It takes a couple of years to change a little code and text, get a clue.

And they have said a Demo is on the way you git ! So stop spewing nonsense and go away.

Ok, I may be a git (?), but it won't change the fact that a "demo" is not in the plans.

Isn't that a little harsh for not believing that a demo is going to be released or that the game is having trouble in an English release state? I have inside information, the post I put up with facts was deleted quickly...keep waiting.:grin:

I hope it's out soon Birdmon but I think that the game will be released well before the demo which isn't uncommon, but thats my opinion I guess only time will tell.

Birdmon, when you go around saying things negatively with only "inside information" claims to back you, it is only natural for people not to like what youre saying. Its nothing personal but if you are going to make accusations like you have, at least have some sort of solid evidence to back it.

Question: Was a demo ever released for the RU version? If not, then I have to doubt one will be out for the English version. But I won't complain if I am wrong on this.

Look at the link i gave, the guy from 1C said one would be on the way.

@Burningcold: You got that right, you can't just waltz in and claim you have "inside" information.

No one delayed the demo. It is on the finishing line and will be released soon.

Do any of you really need a demo? Aren't you all going to buy it the second it comes out regardless? Amazon has it listed as releasing Sept. 23. That's less than three weeks away! :)

No I dont personally I will be purchasing this the minute it hits the shelf, I only want the demo to tide me over but if the game comes first well I won't need it :D

Well i want the demo to have some fun until it comes out ;) But also to be certain that i acually like it and the quality is good, as it is i won't go ahead and buy a game without trying a demo, unless i have some very convincing things, because i have been hyped up and all that, only to be disappointed.

I actually meant him pointing out that we're going to buy it when it comes out and don't need a demo, but sure, you can have a hug.

I'll probably pre order it as soon as i can :) .. would still LOVE a demo.

As for me, it depends on my being able to grab some cash before then. Right now I'm a little tight and theres about four great games coming out with at most three weeks of eachother starting this upcoming tuesday. But KB is definitely at least numero dos (2nd) on the priority list for now. The demo might change that though so thats why I've been wanting it so much.

What games? I'm guessing Spore is in there?

There is that, but also stalker clear sky for me, or civilization 4: Colonization.

Well there is Fallout 3, but that isn't a day one purchase for me.

I probably won't try a demo of KB, I just want the real thing.

As for now Spore is number 1 for me, thanks to the creature creator and the release date. Then the other coming this month is Force Unleashed (which is in a close running for 2nd with KB, this matters because of my current lack of money :-P), and about 3 more coming within the year/before christmas.

The number 1 game for me that i am waiting for is Crysis Warhead. It will be released in a week for now and it is the best pc game of the year!!

..perhaps although stalker Clear sky is very fun :D
